Of course, I LOVE TEXAS! I would like to go back to Pennsylvania, California, D.C., New York, Colorado, Oregon. I want to go to New Mexico, New Jersey(I think we went to Atlantic City as a kid?) and Washington.

My secret pal is so thoughtful. She sent me some heart swizzle sticks to add to my collection. Ironically, I did not have one heart in my collection. Thanks SP. Can't wait to see what she'll send next. Have a good week.

Not sure what I'm doing.......

Okay. I have a digital camera now. So, I'm gonna give it a shot (no pun intended) at trying to post some pictures from a recent trip my DH and I took to the Orlando area. Of course the first day there, I went to a wonderful yarn shop in Winter Park. The owner, Donnie, and Dr. J were so nice. I stayed all afternoon and joined them for their weekly knit-in. Of course I hit the jackpot. The UPS man had delivered a bunch of new yarns. I bought some wonderful Lorna's Lace yarn. I started the Pie-wedge shawl. The colors are gorgeous. I JUST LOVE IT!!! Can't really work on it until I finish the blanket I started for my nephew who is coming in March. YIPPIE!! He's priority right now. I'm going home in March and must go home with the blanket.

I also bought some purple Lorna's Lace sock yarn for my SP. Lucky Secret Pal. It's her favorite color too. And I just love the new Rowan patterns. There are so many things I want to make in that book. I just wish I had more time, as does everybody else, to knit. Wonder how I can find more time? Any suggestions?

Also, I had to include a picture of my DH & I. We had such a good time. We had a wonderful dinner at Emeril's Tchoup Chop. The fried wontons and peanut sauce were YUMMY!

A little bit about me.....

Here's a little info about me for Secret Pal 4.

1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer high- and/natural fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same to you?
If it's a color combination that I like, it doesn't matter what brand it is.

2. Do you spin? Crochet?
No. I have only been knitting 6 months. Maybe in the future I might learn how to spin.

3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
No. I have a Bichon Frise.

4. How long have you been knitting?
Sorry, I answered that in No. 2. I have been knitting for approximately 6 months.

5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
No, not at this time.

6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
Red Currant.

7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
Of course, I like to eat and cook.

8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I like to cook.

9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I love all music. Not really into classical, though.

10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer?
I like reds and greens.

11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
Sorry, I keep jumping ahead of myself. As I said earlier, I have a Bichon Frise named Guero. I live with him and my husband.

12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
At the moment, to get out of court reporting school SOON!

13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
I can't say that I really have a favorite. I have enjoyed all of them for their specific project. Although, I will say I did not like working with chinchilla.

14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
I like knitting EVERYTHING!

16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
I'm not sure.

17. What are you knitting right now?
My first sweater, a scarf, and I really need to start on a blanket for my nephew who is coming in April.

I think I'm over them?.?.?

19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Depends on the project. If I can use circular, I would prefer that.

20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I have never used anything but bamboo and I LOVE THEM!

21. Are you a sock knitter?
I haven't tried. I have knitted booties and leg warmers though.

22. How did you learn to knit?
At a wonderful shop in Charleston, South Carolina called KNIT. If you have a chance to go, you should. I really miss 'em.

23. How old is your oldest UFO?
6 months

24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
Why, Snoopy of course and all his gang!

25. What is your favorite holiday?
I like Halloween and Christmas too.

26. Is there anything that you collect?
I collect swizzle sticks, PEZ dispensers, and dice.

This is the only knitting picture I have at the moment. I made these scarves for my two little favorite Indians back in Texas. They are made of purple squiggle and white cotton. My dear friends, Molly, Gay & Grace, whom I miss a lot, back in Charleston, SC at Knit gave me the idea to knit the two school colors together.

If you're ever in Charleston you should definitely check them out. They have WONDERFUL yarn, and are so much fun to be around.
